Osteoarthritis Risk May Be Linked to Omega 3 vs. Omega 6 Fatty Acid Levels

A recent study found a positive relationship between omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-6) and inflammation associated with arthritis.  In contrast,  the researchers found an inverse association between omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis (OA). Omega 6 fatty acids result in the formation of arachidonic acid which activates the inflammatory response. In contrast, omega 3 fatty acids activate the anti-inflammatory response. Omega-6's are found for example in vegetable oils, meats and poultry while omega-3's are found in cold water fish (salmon, mackerel, halibut, sardines), eggs, flaxseed oil and fish oil.

Acupuncture in Toronto: As the most expensive form of automobile ground transportation, limousines are culturally associated with extreme wealth or power and are commonly cited as examples of conspicuous consumption. Among the less wealthy, limousines are often hired during special events (most commonly weddings, proms, and bachelor parties).Foot Massage Toronto
