Acupuncture Reduces Anxiety in Women Undergoing IVF

In a recent randomized clinical trial involving 43 patients undergoing IVF, treatment with acupuncture (4 weekly treatments) was found to lead to significantly lower scores on the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, as compared to no treatment. Acupuncture points used were: HT-7, PC-6, CV-17, GV-20. These results demonstrate that acupuncture may be a beneficial treatment for women undergoing IVF.
